Attending the meeting were Sharia
Hardy, Wayne Smith and you representing City of Stockton (COS), William Little
representing Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE), Jeanne Homsey
representing ATC Associates (ATC), and Margaret Lagorio, Nuel C. Henderson,
and Jeff Wong representing EHD. The following is a summary of the site
discussions at the meeting.
Fontana Drive at Smith Canal
ATC installed monitoring well #7 (MW-7) in February 2002. According to
Summary Report dated April 10, 2002 prepared by ATC, analytical results
of the two soil samples collected during the well installation were non-
detect for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-d). Analytical
results of the water sample from MW-7 were 100 micrograms per liter
(µg11) of TPH-d. Four quarters of sampling are required as discussed in
the meeting in October 2001 . EHD requested cross-sections for the site
be submitted and a table with historical depths to groundwater be included
in future quarterly monitoring reports.
110 W. Sonora
Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in the analytical results of the
three water samples collected from the deepest well on the site, RW-1,
according to Quarterly Monitoring Report First Quarter 2o02 dated April
10, 2002, prepared by AGE. Water samples were collected from first
water level and the bottom of the well using a disposable bailer and a
bomb sampler. Contamination in groundwater may not be vertically
defined. EHD recommended installing additional discretely screened
deep monitoring wells. Submit a work plan that will define the vertical
extent of the groundwater contamination to EHD by June 10, 2002.
Operation of the soil vapor extraction system should continue.
