i ; r <br /> Q <br /> I <br /> Official bid documents including plans and specifications ;must be purchased in <br /> order to obtain the planholder's number required to bid this project. All bids <br /> submitted for this project must conform with the requirements of the official bid <br /> documents, including plans 'and specifications. Bid documents must be purchased at- <br /> City of Stockton Department of;Public Works, 425 N. EI Dorado Street, City Hall, Room <br /> 317, Stockton CA 95202 <br /> Section 4.2 Beginning of Work, Time of Completion, and Liquidated Damages <br /> The contract for the performance of said work and the furnishing of said materials shall <br /> r be executed within ten (10) days after the approval thereof by the City Attorney. The <br /> Contractor shall diligently prosecute the work to completing installation of the <br /> ' remediation system before the expiration of 90 working days from the date of approval <br /> by the City Attorney or 30 days after obtaining the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air <br /> i Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD) Authority to Construct. <br /> The Contractor shall pay to th;e City of Stockton the sum of Three Hundred Dollars <br /> ($300) per day for each and every calendar day's delay in finishing the work in excess <br /> of the number of working days prescribed above. <br /> Should the Contractor choose to work on a Saturday, Sunday or on a holiday <br /> recognized by the Labor Unions, the Contract shall reimburse the City of Stockton the <br /> actual cost of engineering, inspection, superintendence, and/or other overhead <br /> expenses which are directly ,chargeable to the contract. Should such work be <br /> undertaken at the request of the City, reimbursement shall not be required. <br /> { Section 4.3 Permits <br /> k <br /> 1 A well installation permit application shall be completed and submitted to the San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services; Environmental Health Department (PHSIEHD) for the <br /> i installation of vapor wells and air sparge wells. A well destruction permit application shall <br /> be completed and submitted to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Department (PHSIEHD) for the destruction of vapor wells, air <br /> sparge wells, and groundwater monitoring wells. An Authority to Construct and Permit to <br /> Operate application shall be completed and submitted to the San Joaquin Valley Unified <br /> Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD) to allow for construction and installation of the <br /> proposed VES. The application,includes a site history, VES specifications, and analytical <br /> results. A site history and previous analytical results shall be supplied by`the City. A <br /> complete set of plans shall be submitted to the City of Stockton Building, Planning and Fire <br /> Departments for review, comment, and approval prior to construction and installation of the <br /> VES and AS system. An application for installation of the proposed vapor extraction and <br /> air sparge wells shall be submitted to PHSIEHD. <br /> t Contractor shall be responsible;for the PHSIEHD and SJVUAPCD fees. <br /> SECTION 5 GENERAL <br /> Section 5.1 As-BuilVRecord Drawings <br /> The Contractor shall maintain a complete set of drawings on site to be kept up to date <br /> with all field modifications. This shall be available for review by the project inspector or <br /> the project engineer. These. plans shall be provided to the inspector after the <br /> completion of construction at the post construction meeting and prior to the final <br /> SP3 <br /> a <br />
