KLLINFELDER <br /> Based upon the data obtained during our observations and analytical results the following <br /> conclusions Nverc formulated: <br /> 1) Review of the analytical results 01:tile three soil and the two groundwater samples analyzed <br /> from Disposal Sites B anti t_' show that reported levels were either non detect at or above <br /> laboratory reporting limits or were below the regulated levels and PROs summarized on <br /> Table 1. <br /> 2) Verbal authorization was elven by Robert McCollum of the PHS/rI-[D that backfilling of <br /> Disposal Sites B and C be ctuxluctcd on .1uly 16, 1999. <br /> 3) The debris material at the iwo disposal sites(B and C)appeared to be removed. <br /> 4) Debris removed from the two disposal areas were moved to construction debris stockpiles on <br /> site for later disposal or recyclinU. <br /> 5) The slaked lime and lime material from Disposal Site B was hauled to the lime ponds (all the <br /> lime in the lime ponds will lie handled in accordance with the Waste Discharge Requirements <br /> (\VDRs) 997-204. for tilt lime ponds. <br /> 6) Three of six monitoring wells N1 W-7. MW-9 and MW-I I surrounding the Disposal Areas B <br /> and C were successfully cut and grouted to the surface in accordance with the well <br /> abandonment permit. The remaining three monitoring wells MW-8, MW-10 and MW-12 <br /> Nvere unable to he located and were likely destroyed during grading activities at the site. <br /> Based upon the data oht;tincd during. tour observations and analytical results the following <br /> recommendations were f*orniulatcd: <br /> A) Based upon the analytical results within this report and the intended use as an industrial site, <br /> Kleinfelder recommends no I'urther evaluation .of the former Disposal Sites B and C. <br /> Furthermore, Kleinfelder recrnnnrends that the disposal sites be considered"clean-closed." <br /> B) If durim, construction activities or ading activities, contaminants are discovered, the <br /> siunatories of this report should be contacted. <br /> C) A copy of this report should hr submitted to the PHS/EHD and the Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (RWQCB) Icer Ihctr review and consideration. <br /> This report is subject to the limitations Iound in Chapter 8 of this report. <br /> 20-+9rs-03.W3,W2019764 Page 2 of 20 <br /> 0 19W.
