Topographic <br /> �., maps and reasonably obtainable historical aerial photos were reviewed to assess historical land uses on <br /> and near the site. Where available, Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps were reviewed for the site. Historical <br /> information was obtained from topographic maps, aerial photographs, interviews, and other historical <br /> resources. <br /> 1.2.1.3 Review of Environmental Records <br /> I.. The non-confidential portions of reasonably obtainable and practically reviewable records retained by <br /> Federal, State, and local agencies for properties in the vicinity of the site within an approximate minimum <br /> search distance (MSD), that have been investigated and/or inspected, were reviewed for potential <br /> fi,, environmental liability. The records review included the following, as applicable: <br /> I. AST—Aboveground storage tanks as provided by the State Water Resources Control Board. <br /> 2. BORDERZONE--Database provided by the Department of Health Services-Land Use and Air Assessment that <br /> i+ identities properties within 2,000 feet of land at which hazardous waste has been deposited, creating a significant <br /> existing or potential hazard to public health and safety. <br /> 3. CALFID—California Facility Inventory Database created within the California Environmental Protection Agency <br /> 4, to facilitate the identification of complete environmental regulatory profiles for facilities. <br /> 4. CERCLIS—Sites identified by the U.S. EPA as hazardous sites that have been investigated or are in the process of <br /> investigation for contamination risk. <br /> t.. 5. CORTESE—Information from the Office of Environmental Protection, Office of Hazardous Materials regarding <br /> potential and confirmed hazardous waste sites. <br /> 6. ERNS — Emergency Response Notification System information on reported releases of oil and hazardous <br /> substances. <br /> 7. FEDERAL WATER WELLS --The Ground Water Site Inventory database was provided by the United States <br /> Geological Survey(USGS)and contains information for over 1,000,000 wells and other sources of groundwater. <br /> 8. FINDS—Facility Index System Database. This system was developed to help identify and cross-reference which <br /> sections or departments within EPA maintain a fie on any specific site. <br /> 9. HAZNET -- Hazardous Waste Information System. Database of locations for which data is extracted from <br /> hazardous waste manifests received each year by the Department of Toxic Substances Control(DISC). <br /> 10. HMIRS—Hazardous Materials Incident Reporting System. Database of hazardous material spills reported to the <br /> United States Department of Transportation. <br /> 11. LUST—A database of reported Leaking Underground Storage Tanks. <br /> 12. MLTS—Material Licensing Tracking System. State database that maintains a comprehensive list of facilities with <br /> permits for handling low-level radioactive materials. <br /> w+ 13. NFRAP—No Further Remedial Action Planned.Database of locations removed from the CERCLIS database. <br /> 14. NPL—Sites that fall under the EPA's Superfund program established to fund cleanup of contaminated sites that <br /> pose risk to human health and the environment. <br /> 15. PADS — PCS Activity Database. The database contains information pertaining to facilities that generate, store, <br /> transport,or dispose of polychlorinated biphenyls(PCB). <br /> 16. RCRA— Selective information on sites that generate, transport, store, treat and/or dispose of hazardous waste as <br /> �+ defined by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act(RCRA). <br /> a. GEN—RCRA hazardous waste generators(large and small). <br /> b. TRAN—RCRA hazardous waster transporters. <br /> c. VIOL—Locations of RCRA regulation violations. <br /> d.
