Box 2009 1
Stockton,CA 95201
RE: Former BP Oil Site No. 11194
2375 Tracy Bouevard
Tracy,CA
i
Dear Mr. Knoll: j
This letter transmits the 2 March 1999 Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling Report prepared on behalf
of BP by Blaine Tech Services. The report includes chemical data associated with groundwater samples
obtained on 6 January 1999.
The presence of 0.03 feet of liquid petroleum hydrocarbon in well MW-3 was an issue of concern raised
in a 10 January 1997 letter from San Joaquin County Public Health Services. Note that liquid petroleum
hydrocarbon was not encountered in well MW-3 when sampled on 6 January 1999. The aromatic
hydrocarbon and TPH-G concentrations detected in well MW-3 indicate that the liquid petroleum
hydrocarbons have been abated. I understand that well MW-3 is located north of the underground storage
tanks.
3
Variable concentrations of MTBE were detected in samples obtained on 6 January 1999. MTBE
concentrations reported for the onsite wells were relatively low, while MTBE concentrations reported in
monitoring wells adjacent to the Exxon and former Chevron sites are orders-of-magnitude higher.
Please contact me at(425)251-0689 if you have questions regarding this submission.
Sincerely,
colt Hooton
Environmental Remediation Management
attachment
cc: site file
Brady Nagle-Alisto
Elizabeth Thayer-CRWQC13(w/attachment)
David DeWitt-Tosco(w/attachment)
