Inventory Management <br /> 5. Look at the description to verify that this is the correct item. If it is not, tap <Cancel>. <br /> 6. Enter the quantity. <br /> 7. Select the appropriate reason code for the markdown (In Store Damage, Received Damage, <br /> Customer Return, Past Expire Date). <br /> 8. Tap <Next> to save. Note: At this point, if the item is part of the Environmental <br /> Compliance Program, the HHT will alert you to the next steps that should be tahen in <br /> order to properly handle the product. <br /> • Continue by scanning the next item. <br /> • To pause, press <Cancel>. To start again, select <Suspended Transactions>, tap the <Pending> <br /> tab, click on the transaction line, and then tap <Review>. <br /> 9. When complete, tap <Review>. <br /> 10. Review the list for accuracy. Press the up or down arrow on the HHT to review each line. Make <br /> corrections by pressing <Delete> or <Add Items>. <br /> 11. Tap <Complete> to accept the list. <br /> 12. Using STOREnet, click <Daily>. Click <Inventory Management>. Click on the damages receipt <br /> line. Click the detailed receipt <Print> button. File all paperwork in the store office. Place the <br /> receipt in the Other Inventory Transactions file. The receipt will be used when clearing the Monthly <br /> Transaction Sheet. <br /> 13. After the damaged items have been removed from the store's inventory with the HHT and the <br /> transaction receipt has been printed, the items should be destroyed and discarded in the dumpster*. <br /> Note: Under no circumstance should an American flag be destroyed or discarded. Donate <br /> remaining units of American flags to one of the following groups or institutions in your <br /> area: Boy Scouts troop, Girl Scouts troop, the VFW, National Guard Armory/Military <br /> Base, public school, cemeteries. Keep remaining American flags on the sales floor or in the <br /> receiving room until you are able to donate them.
