As briefly described to you in a 3 November 2003
telephone conversation with Devra Lewis of my staff, the Regional Board has overseen Site
investigations and cleanup efforts since 1984. Currently, the only constituent of concern at the
Site is chloroform, with the highest recent concentration of 62 micrograms per liter. Chloroform
concentrations continue to decline at the Site. GPC has and continues to comply with Regional
Board directives to remediate Site pollution. In a 11 September 2003 letter, Regional Board staff
concurred with the implementation of an air/ozone sparging pilot test to continue chloroform
remedial efforts.
GPC is at the latter stages of a long remedial process. For additional information regarding the
Site, you are welcome to contact Ms. Lewis at (916) 255-3119 to schedule a file review.
L U uv
WEND L.
