S0 JOA U 1 Environmental Health Department <br /> U ; i y I AMENDED <br /> 1/30/2020 <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> AFFORDABLE AUTO REPAIR AND SMOG 1 121 S Wilson Way, Stockton January 28, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: <br /> 1. Metal fines generated from rotor resurfacing were observed on and around the Accu-turn brake lathe(see photos <br /> IMG 0630-0633). <br /> 2. Standing used antifreeze and saturated rags were observed on top of an open 55-gallon unlabeled used <br /> antifreeze drum (see photo IMG 0620). <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: <br /> 1. Immediately clean-up and containerize the metal fines; <br /> 2. Immediately clean-up the standing used antifreeze and saturated rags from the top of the used antifreeze drum; <br /> and <br /> 3. Manage the waste according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste.
