I-4 . Potentially Significant Impact • Groundwater Supply/
Overdraft
[Impact 4 . 4 . 1-41
The Projected available supply of water to the Project
Site (8 , 125 AF per year) is less than the Project demand
( 10 , 391 AF per year) and could result in an inadequate
water supply for the Project . If groundwater resources
were available and developed, overdrafting of local
groundwater resources could occur .
Finding : Changes or alterations have been required in,
or incorporated into, the Project which avoid or
substantially lessen the significant environmental effect
as identified in the FEIR to a non-significant level .
These mitigation measures are listed below.
Statement of Fact : The impact will be reduced by:
• Wastewater reclamation and water conservation
techniques must be implemented to reduce the potable
water demand to the supply level of 8 , 125 AF/year or
lower . Such techniques must be fully described in
the Specific Plan for the Project .
• For the Specific Plan, the Applicant must address the
potential for installation of a dual distribution
system. If a dual distribution system were not
included, a detailed justification should be supplied.
• Water conservation measures should be incorporated
into the design of the Project to the maximum extent
possible. These measures should be incorporated into
the Specific Plan.
• If other strategies did not reduce total water demand
to 8, 125 AF/year or lower, overall water demand could
be reduced to match available supply by a reduction
in Project density. A subsequent GPA could be
required to reflect required lower densities . See
Attachment C-1, section C-1 .
• See FEIR, Section 4 . 4 . 1 .
I-5 .
