Project . The TMO should establish and implement a <br /> site-specific Travel Demand Management (TDM) plan , <br /> and, at a minimum, meet requirements of the County ' s <br /> Congestion Management Plan . <br /> • The Project sponsor should provide on-site facilities <br /> and amenities to promote and facilitate use of <br /> alternatives to the single-occupant vehicle for <br /> longer trips to and from the Project Site . These <br /> facilities include : <br /> • Provision of numerous park-and-ride lots at <br /> appropriate locations within the Project ( 12 <br /> sites have been identified by the Project <br /> sponsor , as shown in Figure 4 . 14-5) . <br /> • Provision of a bus transit center in the town <br /> center area (see Figure 3 . 7) . <br /> • Promotion with State and County assistance, of <br /> lanes for priority HOV access to/from the <br /> Project Site (e . g . , HOV bypass lane at metered <br /> on-ramps to 1-580 at Grant Line Road and I-205 <br /> at Patterson Pass Road. <br /> • Provision of bus pullouts and shelters along <br /> potential routes within the Project Site . Bus <br /> schedules should be posted at all bus stops . <br /> • Provision of bicycle and pedestrian networks to <br /> link residential areas with park-and-ride lots <br /> and secured bicycle storage should be provided <br /> at these locations . <br /> • The Project sponsor, through the TMO, should ensure <br /> an adequate level of external , commute-oriented <br /> transit service for the Project residents and <br /> workers, as provided in FEIR Mitigation 4 . 14-1(3) . <br /> • Local transit service shall be provided within the <br /> Project Site with frequent service intervals during <br /> peak periods to facilitate non-vehicle travel on <br /> internal roads . Stops should provide amenities <br /> including covered seating and scheduled stop times <br /> and frequency of service over the course of the day. <br /> • The Project sponsor shall develop a traffic and land <br /> use occupancy monitc ing program as required in <br /> Mitigation 4 . 14-1(g) . <br /> C2-92 <br /> 0189r/0202r <br />
