6.6.1 Analysis
Uncontaminated storm water run-off samples are to be tested for the following
compounds using the prescribed protocols:
U.S. EPA Multi-Sector Permit Benchmarks Value
Total Suspend Solids (T.S.S.) EPA 160.2 100 mg/I
Oil and Grease EPA 413.2 15 mg/I
pH EPA 150.1 6.0-9.0 s.u.
Specific Conductance EPA 120.1 200 umhos/cm*
Aluminum EPA 200.7 0.75 mg/I
Iron EPA 200.7 1 .0 mg/I
Zinc EPA 200.7 0.117 mg/I
Nitrate + Nitrite Nitrogen EPA 300.0 0.68 mg/I
*California Water Board Benchmarks
Analysis will be performed by an U.S. EPA approved laboratory. Sample collection,
storage, and transportation will be in accordance of "Standard Methods for the
Examination of Water and Wastewater," accomplished in accordance with instructions
provided by the laboratory performing the analysis. Chain of Custody documents will be
executed for each sample. All Samples will be collected in accordance to sampling
instructions included in Appendix I.
Discharge locations
Samples will be collected from locations that represent the quality and quantity of
the storm water run-off at the storm drain inspection cover on the east side of the facility
before entering the main storm drain on Arch Road. Run-off water exiting the property
will pass through oleophilic materials at the facility's last point of contact. Run-off water
from other facilities will not be utilized in the sample. Commingling of run-off storm water
does not occur with other facility run-on water. This discharge point includes roof,
parking lot, and back lot drainage areas, which are consolidated in the storm drain system
prior to entry into the municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4).
NexFrame LP-WDID#5SM020707 November 1, 2007
SWPPP -16-
