NAP-RATXVE
VII. DETAILED EVALUATION OF SELECTED SOURCE REDUCTION MEASURES
A detailed evaluation is provided below for the selected source reduction
measures. The seven factors listed in the SB 14 Hazardous Waste Source
Reduction Planning Guidance Manual were weighted in the Matrix and
Measure forms provided in Appendix D. The source reduction measures
chosen for each waste stream and the four-year numerical goal for each
waste stream are listed at the end of each waste stream discussion following
the source reduction measures.
The selected source reduction methods are chosen based on the Matrix and
Measure Form referenced in Appendix D and the detailed evaluation in
sections VII and VIII. A year-year numerical goal has been selected for each
waste stream and is an estimate of the source reduction that could be
achieved over the four-year period. The four-year numerical goal is
calculated for each waste stream using the following equation:
[Total weight of hazardous waste reduced at
the site if source reduction practices are
optimized]
x 100
[Total weight of hazardous waste generated
if source reduction measures are not
implemented at the site]
A list of numerical goals for each of the waste streams can be found in Table
2 at the end of this section.
CWC 214 — WASTE PAINT THINNER
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
SOPs will be developed and implemented by for painting operations, vehicle
maintenance and washing, and building maintenance. SOPS will be
developed with the intent of reducing the amount of waste generated from
operations discharging water into the oil water separator.
Managers/Supervisors will be responsible for the development and
implementation of the procedures. Review and assessment of SOPs for each
department will occur annually.
Stockton Unified School District NETWORK ENwRONMENTAL SYSTEMS,INC.
Hazardous Waste Source Reduction Plan 16
