Box 806 Sacramento, CA 95812-0806 Immediately locate a copy of the missing manifests or prepare and submit an exception report to DTSC. By July 29, 2011, submit to the EHD a copy of the signed off copy of the manifests or a copy of the exception report submitted to DTSC. REPEAT VIOLATION 79. Two boxes of used fluorescent bulbs were observed stored open in the hazardous waste storage area. Universal waste lamps shall be contained in a closed container or package that is structurally sound, adequate to prevent breakage, and compatible with the contents of the lamp. Immediately containerize all universal waste fluorescent lamps/bulbs in accordance with Title 22 regulations. REPEAT VIOLATION 83. Two boxes of used fluorescent bulbs were observed without universal waste labeling in hazardous waste storage area. A generator shall label or mark universal waste with the words 'Universal Waste' and the type of waste (alkaline batteries, mercury containing equipment, fluorescent bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, aerosol cans). Immediately label these wastes and ensure that all universal wastes are labeled with the required information. REPEAT VIOLATION Notice to Comply - Minor violations: (7, 45, 49, 63, 84, 85) 7. Metal fines are being recycled as scrap metal without first determining particle size or hazardous properties. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop recycling metal fines, make a hazardous waste determination for the metal working waste, and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous waste. ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE ($122).
