0 <br /> Arrangements with Local Emergency Response Teams <br /> McCormick and Baxter has solicited response information from <br /> the Stockton Fire and Police departments and local .hospitals. <br /> Copies of replies are presentedinthe Apprendix. While the <br /> Fire and Police Departments may not have sufficient capabili- <br /> ties to handle all emergencies, the agencies can contact other <br /> sources for assistance in handling significant events. <br /> The State of California Office of Emergency Services (800/ <br /> 552-7550) can also direct out-of area support to assist in <br /> handling major emergencies. <br /> In the event of a major spill, fire, or explosion causing <br /> significant contamination of the site, private cleanup con- <br /> tractors would be retained to assist in the control and clean- <br /> up of the facility. Potential industrial contractors with <br /> broad hazardous waste capabilities available on 24-hour notice <br /> include: <br /> 1. Chemical Waste Management, Inc. (408) 946-5094 <br /> 2. IT Corporation (415) 228-5100 <br /> . 3. Browning-Ferris Industries, Inc. (916) 381-1500 <br /> Evacuation Plan <br /> Information <br /> In the event of an emergency or-emergency. *dkill requiring a <br /> Plant Evacuation . two public address annducements will be <br /> made followed by the emergency siren, which is a continuously <br /> wailing signal. <br /> Drills/Tests <br /> It is necessary to periodically test the emergency siren for <br /> operability. All siren .tests will be announced in advance <br /> over the public address system. Work onsite will continue <br /> without interruption. <br /> Evacuation Procedures For Nonessential Personnel <br /> 1.
