JOB TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS Page 3 <br /> • Use quick fill or regular fuel nozzles to fuel equipment with diesel fuel, <br /> lubricates equipment within manufacturer recommendations and able to <br /> detect potential safety and operational problems <br /> • Able to plan day to safely and efficiently service all equipment located on <br /> various company jobsites <br /> • Performs oil changes on equipment and properly stores, transports and <br /> disposes of used oil and used anti-freeze at designated facilities <br /> • Able to perform minor repair on equipment <br /> • Able to operate various off road equipment as well as able to move <br /> equipment to position it for lube services <br /> • High school diploma required. Prior truck driving and/or mechanic <br /> experience helpful <br /> Heavy Equipment Mechanic <br /> • Responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment <br /> • May be assigned to work in the shop, field or both depending on location <br /> • Responsible for their own safety and the safety of others around them <br /> • Obeys all safety rules and regulations <br /> • Communicates with foreman, site personnel, vendors and other service <br /> representatives when troubleshooting and repair equipment <br /> • Valid California driver's license, Class B for some vehicles and Class C for <br /> others <br /> • Able to perform field and/or shop repairs on various off highway <br /> equipment <br /> • Based on technical expertise is able to use a variety of specialty tools, <br /> hand tools and equipment to diagnose, repair or assemble components of <br /> various equipment <br /> • Operates a variety of welding equipment to build and/or repair parts both <br /> on and off equipment <br /> • Able to inspect equipment for safety and operational deficiencies <br /> • Enters daily time via computer workorder system to process time and <br /> document repairs on equipment <br /> • Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment at the shop as well as <br /> field sites <br /> • High school or GED required. CPR and First Aid encouraged. Additional <br /> technical school training or college helpful. Must have good mechanical <br /> aptitude and good communication skills <br />
