sanitizers, mouthwashes, medicated (e.g., dandruff) shampoos, acne <br />treatments containing benzoyl peroxide, disposable lighters; <br />Grocery: products containing alcohol, such as flavoring, extracts and <br />others, canned heating products, alcoholic beverages with greater than <br />24% alcohol content, products in pressurized cans; <br />Seasonal: insect repellents for humans, flea and tick repellents for pets, <br />charcoal starter fluid, garden chemicals, pool chemicals; <br />Electronic Waste: batteries, telephones, shavers, diabetes meters, scented <br />plug-in air fresheners, electronic sweeping/cleaning devices, song cards, <br />clothing that lights up or blinks, toys that contain or require batteries , <br />items that have picture screens; and <br />Other State -regulated Wastes: Based on state -specific regulations, stores <br />in some states will be required to manage additional types of items as <br />hazardous wastes. If your store is located in one of these states, you will <br />receive supplemental information in this Binder regarding these special <br />waste streams. <br />Examples of Photo materials that may contain hazardous characteristics <br />include, but are not limited to, the following: <br />• Used photo chemical filters <br />• Expired photo chemical concentrates <br />• Mixed, unusable photo processing chemicals <br />• Leaking or spilled photo processing chemicals or concentrates, <br />including contaminated spill cleanup material <br />• Photo rinse water disposal <br />• One-time use cameras <br />• Used photo processing chemicals at Haul Stores <br />• Empty F1 cartridges (from stores using SM chemistry for their <br />film processor) <br />• Spent metallic replacement cartridges <br />• Empty photo chemical containers <br />Examples of Pharmacy items or materials that must be managed as <br />hazardous waste when disposed include, but are not limited to, the <br />following: <br />• Loose pills (non -controlled) <br />• Empty closed containers (stock bottles and amber prescription <br />© CVS/pharmacy g <br />CONFIDENTIAL BUSINESS INFORMATION <br />CVS000010350 <br />
