Page 20 of 23 Standard Operating Procedures <br />Health and Safety Plans <br />13.3 Environmental Incident (Release or Spread of Contamination) <br />In the event of an environmental incident, the SHSM shall instruct a person on -Site to <br />immediately contact police and fire authorities to inform them of the possible or immediate need <br />for nearby evacuation. If a significant release has occurred, the National Response Center and <br />other appropriate groups should be contacted. Other <br />emergency response will be taken as necessary. <br />13.5 Overt Personnel Exposure <br />If an overt exposure to toxic materials should occur, the exposed person shall be treated on -Site <br />as follows: <br />Skin Contact: Wash/rinse affected area thoroughly with copious amounts of soap and water, <br />then provide appropriate medical attention.
