I. Introduction <br />The following all spill contingency plan is designed to minimize <br />the oil pollution Impacts resulting from an oil spill. It provides <br />Information on ail Spill containment and cleanup materials, proce-' <br />duces and reporting requirements. <br />x IZ. Oil Spill Containment and Cleanup Materials <br />The following oil spill containment and cleanup materials will be <br />maintained at the Stockton Main Office. They will be stored at <br />e <br />1. Synthetic Membrane <br />A 6 x 8 feet sheet of Hytrel or other synthetic membrane mate- <br />rial compatible with fuel oil for sealing the storm drain. <br />2. Oil Absorbent Materials <br />One bale of 3M Brand T-270 oil absorbent booms, or equivalent, <br />for building a low wall of oil absorbent material around the <br />oil fill pipe. Four balesfof 3M Brand T-156 oil absorbent <br />sheets, or equivalent, for cleaning up oil leaks and spills <br />both sides and outside. Clays, sawdust, floor compound, kitty <br />litter, etc. could also be stored for cleaning up small leaks <br />and spills within the building. <br />3. Weights <br />Cement blocks or other heavy materials for holding the synthe- <br />tic membrane and wall of absorbent material in place. <br />4. Warning Devices <br />Bright highly visible warning device such as orange cones or <br />roadwork barricades for placement around the synthetic membrane, <br />and around the tank truck. <br />5. Oil Drums <br />Three or more empty DOT Specification 17H steel drums with <br />covers for containment and shipment of cleaned -up oil and oil <br />soaked absorbent materials. Steel drums could also be used <br />for storing some of the oil containment and clean-up materials <br />prior to use. <br />Miscellaneous tools such as shovels, rakes, pitch forks, etc. <br />for handling oil absorbent materials. <br />RKE71701428532 <br />
