III. Oil Spill Notification Procedures <br />The following procedures should be followed to notify, agement <br />and applicable government regulatory agencies if an oil spill <br />occurs. . <br />I. Minor Spills <br />Minor spills that are 100% contained within the building or <br />by the temporary containment devices should be reported to <br />the immediate supervisor and the designated person accountable <br />for oil spill prevention as soon as possible. The supervisor <br />should then notify the Pacific Bell Emergency Control Center <br />at (415) 542-4601. <br />2. Major Spills <br />Major spills that enter the storm drain or have the potential <br />for entering the storm drain should be reported as soon as <br />possible in the same manner as minor spills. However, <br />management must also notify government response agencies at <br />the following numbers as soon as possible: <br />State of California <br />Office of Emergency Services: (800) 852-7550 <br />National Response Center: (800) 424-8802 <br />The Fire Department should also be contacted if there is con- <br />cern that spilled oil presents a fire hazard. <br />3. Oil Spill Notification Information <br />The following information should be provided when making the <br />notifications described under the previous paragraphs: <br />a. Time of the spill (24 hour clock, local time). <br />b. Identity of the oil spilled. <br />C. Approximate quantity spilled (gallons, barrels, etc.). <br />d. Location of the spill. <br />e.
