Geosyntec
i;. INVESTIGATION-DERIVED WASTE
6.1 Water Storage and Disposal
Water generated during well development and testing field activities at each well will be
temporarily stored in 21,000-gallon in-line temporary water storage tanks. Based on the proposed
well development and testing described in this Work Plan, it is anticipated that approximately
72,000 gallons of water will be generated at each extraction well (12,000 gallons from well
development and 60,000 gallons from step-drawdown testing). Water generated during well
development will be removed from the tanks by a vacuum truck and transferred to a separate
holding tank adjacent to the on-site GETS for treatment.
Once the water has been removed from the tanks, the tanks will be cleaned and sediment from
cleaning will be placed in the soil bins for off-site disposal as discussed below in Section 6.2.
6.2 Soil Storage and Disposal
All solid investigation-derived waste(IDW) generated during field activities, including sediment
from cleaning water tanks, will be temporarily stored in leak-resistant soil roll-off bins. Samples
will be collected for waste profiling and sent to a California state certified laboratory for
analysis. Following waste profiling, the IDW will be removed by a licensed waste hauler and
transported off-site for disposal in accordance with federal and state requirements.
Extraction Well Installation Work Plan I 1 November 30,2018
