3. PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES: (Contact Person: Greg Oliveira, 468-0341) <br /> a. A soil suitability study, as required by Development Title Section 9-1105.2(d), which <br /> indicates that the area is suitable for a septic tank system must be performed prior to <br /> recordation of the Parcel Map. A review fee of$156.00 is required at the time of submittal <br /> to the Environmental Health Division. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on-site sewage standards of San <br /> Joaquin County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the <br /> manual of septic tank practice or the EPA Design Manual for on-site waste water <br /> treatment and disposal systems is required for each parcel. A permit fee of $78.00 is <br /> required for each percolation hole. <br /> b. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemicals dibromochloropropane <br /> (DBCP) and nitrates prior to recordation of the Parcel Map. Samples are to be taken and <br /> analyzed by a State-approved laboratory. (Development Title Section 9-1115.7) <br /> C. Construction of an individual sewage disposal system under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Division is required at the time of development. (Development Title <br /> Sections 9-1110.3 and 9-1110.4) <br /> d. Construction of an individual domestic water well under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Division is required at the time of development. (Development Title <br /> Section 9-1115.3) <br /> 4. COUNTY COUNSEL: <br /> a. HOLD HARMLESS PROVISION: Pursuant to Section 66474.9 of the Government Code, <br /> the subdivider shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the local agency or its agents, <br /> officers, and employees from any claim, action, or proceeding against the local agency <br /> or its agents, officers, or employees to attack, set aside, void, or annul an approval of the <br /> local agency, advisory agency, appeal board, or legislative body concerning a <br /> subdivision, which action is brought within the time provided for in Section 66499.37 of <br /> the Government Code. <br /> San Joaquin County MS-96-4/Scofield <br /> Community Development Page 12 <br />
