SITE ASSESSMENT REPORT <br /> 21167 N TRETHEWAY ROAD, ACAMPO, CA <br /> SITE CODE 4359 <br /> PREVIOUS WORK PERFORMED <br /> On June 7 , 1991 , a gasoline tank approximately 300 gallons <br /> in size , was removed by Jim Thorpe Oil , Inc (See <br /> attachment No 1 , RE-EXCAVATION/RE-SAMPLE WORK PLAN, for <br /> drawings of site, permits etc ) . Soil samples were taken at <br /> the bottom of the tank pit and analyzed by Roy F Weston <br /> Analytical Laboratories Detectable levels of lead ( 15 <br /> mg/kg) , Ethylene Dibromide (740 ug/kg) , Toluene ( 16 <br /> mg/kg) , Ethylbenzene ( 36 . mg/kg) , Xylene ( 190 mg/kg) , and <br /> TPH ( 1600 mg/kg) were found <br /> The e, cavation was then filled with materials on site for <br /> safety purposes , the excavation being located ad3acent to <br /> the driveway for the home next door. <br /> Jim Thorpe Oil , Inc (JTO) then consulted Wm, J Hunter & <br /> • Associates (WJH) regarding the best method to proceed It <br /> was decided that a re--excavation to remove contaminated soil <br /> and examine and test the contaminated areas was the best <br /> method for obtaining data necessary for a Site Assessment <br /> Report It was believed that the drilling of monitor wells, <br /> at least at this time, was not warranted, that the two water <br /> wells on site should be sampled and analyzed before drilling - ,► . <br /> monitor wells and that data from these wells should reveal ti <br /> if the groundwater had been impacted <br /> JTO pLoposed an excavation around the former tank site of <br /> about 20 ' X 20 ' X 20 ' Ten soil samples in the excavation <br /> and 2 in the spoil pile were proposed Testing for EDB, BTEX <br /> and TPH(G) was also proposed for all samples <br /> The following report of activity, subsequent to the JTO <br /> propobal , generally follows this work plan but differs in <br /> some instances owing to decisions made on the Sob site <br /> FIELD WORK PERFORMED AUGUST 9, 1991 <br /> GENERAL DATA <br /> JTO had picked up previously from Roy Weston Analytical <br /> Laboratories the following Two cooler chests , one contain- <br /> ing sterile 2 ' X 3" brass tubes , plastic end caps and foil <br /> • seals , the other containing sterile vials and liter bars <br /> 3 <br />
