533 acre balance of the property to agricultural , wildlife '
habitat, and open space usage, including the entire frontage on
the Mokelumne River, and the entire eastern portion of the
property.
After the filing of the applications, preparation of
environmental documentation by the County's consultants raised
certain environmental issues, the most serious of which concerned
archaeological and biotic issues. This led to engagement by the
proponent of additional consultants highly regarded in these
fields to study archaeological and biotic impacts of the proposal
and to consultation with interest groups concerned with specific
impacts. Their recommendations resulted in certain modifications
of the proposed development to avoid impacts, and on-site
mitigation features to compensate for unavoidable impacts. The
Resource Management Plan has been expanded to incorporate these
recommendations. The Resource Management Plan will be implemented
by deeding and recording a Perpetual Conservation Easement
covering the entire property in favor of a responsible non-profit
corporation dedicated to resource conservation, thereby assuring
perpetual restricted use of the property and implementation of the
Resource Management Plan.
T
Wm Act Cancellation —4—
June
4—
June 8, 1993
