Site Description: This site consists of a midden soil containing shell and bone fragments <br /> as well as obsidian and chert flakes, and contains possible semi-subterranean structures. <br /> The site datum is an oak tree at the northeast edge of the site. <br /> 10. Area 124 m (N-S) by 83 m (E-V); 8,083 mZ <br /> Method of Determination: Compass and taping, with boundaries determined based on <br /> presence of shell. These boundaries were then checked using carbonate testing of soils. <br /> 11. Depth: unknown Method of Determination: <br /> 12. Features: Three large sized depressions and many smaller ones were noted. The large <br /> depressions (depicted on the sketch map) may represent semi-subterranean structures. The <br /> smaller ones probably represent recent disturbance (pot-hunting?). Depression A = 10.8 <br /> meters in diameter, 40 cm deep; Depression B = 15.9 meters in diameter, 70 cm deep; <br /> Depression C = = 10.5 meters in diameter, 35 cm deep. <br />
