These will draw water directly from the <br /> lakes. All driveways greater than 150' long will either have a 50' minimum <br /> radius turnaround or a hammerhead for maneuverability of fire equipment. <br /> LAKE WATER <br /> Sources of water for the lakes include groundwater pumping, surface water <br /> runoff from Jahant Slough, and diversion pumping from the Mokelumne <br /> River when available. <br /> Conceptual designs for these facilities are in process: <br /> - Excavation and capacity requirements <br /> - Lake outlet and flood control spillway structure <br /> - Lake to lake water transfer and impoundment <br /> - Mokelumne River diversion pumping structure <br /> - Irrigation system piping <br /> - Groundwater supply pumping <br /> The Tracy Lake Water Management Plan describes the basic hydrology and <br /> restoration program for Tracy Lake (Exhibit 10). <br /> SOILS ANALYSIS AND GRADING <br /> A preliminary soils analysis has been prepared by Lowrey & Associates <br /> (Exhibit 11) which addresses the following: <br /> 1. General soils classification in areas of excavation and improvements. <br /> 2. Foundation investigation at bridge abutments. <br /> 3. Foundation investigation and design of engineered fill areas. <br /> 4. Permeability and recommendations regarding lake bottom preparation. <br /> 5. R-Value tests for pavement design. <br /> 6. Recommendations on bridge approach design. <br /> Site grading for construction of roads, homes and golf course <br /> improvements will be kept to the absolute minimum. The golf course is <br /> laid out to take maximum advantage of the gently rolling natural <br /> topography of the site and little modification is anticipated. Portions of <br /> the lake will be excavated to increase capacity and provide an enhanced <br /> aquatic environment. The lake excavation will hopefully coincide with the <br /> Department of Water Resources New Hope Reclamation District Hazard <br /> Mitigation Project which will require large amounts of soil for levee <br /> construction. <br />
