Groundwater supply pumping <br /> The water management plan in section 5.3 describes the basic hydrology and restoration <br /> program for Tracy Lake. <br /> Soils Analysis and Grading <br /> A preliminary soils analysis has been prepared by Lowry & Associates which addresses <br /> the following: <br /> 1. General soils classification in areas of excavation and <br /> improvements. <br /> 2. Foundation investigation at bridge abutments. <br /> 3. Foundation investigation and design of engineered fill <br /> areas. <br /> 4. Permeability and recommendations regarding lake bottom <br /> preparation. <br /> 5. R-Value tests for pavement design. <br /> 6. Recommendations on bridge approach design. <br /> Site grading for construction of roads, homes and golf course improvements will be kept to <br /> the absolute minimum. The golf course is laid out to take maximum advantage of the gently <br /> rolling natural topography of the site and little modification is anticipated. Portions of the <br /> lake will be excavated to increase capacity and provide an enhanced aquatic environment. <br /> The lake excavation will hopefully coincide with the Department of Water Resources New <br /> Hope Reclamation District Hazard Mitigation Project which will require large amounts of <br /> soil for levee construction. <br /> Buckeye Ranch Resource Plan (November, 1993) <br /> 89 <br />
