Tests still to be performed include:
I . Percolation tests for leach field design.
2. Fertility of soil, suitability for use in golf course construction.
In order to provide a means of flood protection for the western portion of the property, an
approximately 30 foot high embankment will be constructed across the eastern end of
Tracy Lake. This will be the major area of fill for the project and is located on land
designated as non-wetlands.
Site grading and related studies to be prepared include establishing areas of cut and fill and
volumes for:
1 . Building pads and engineered fill areas.
2. Golf course construction.
3. Roadways.
4. On-site drainage conditions resulting from planned improvements.
5. Lake excavation and lining.
6. Bridge approaches.
7. DWR levee project requirements.
Irrigzation
Approximately 70 acres of land will be irrigated for the golf course. The water will be
drawn directly from the lakes at several locations and fed into separate distribution systems
to cover different portions of the course. Individual homesite landscaping will amount to
about 1/2 acre each. Irrigation water will either be supplied from the lakes or from the
domestic wells.
Buckeye Ranch Resource Plan (November, 1993)
90
