Oily fluids have leaked from the lift and "easy go scooter" onto the outdoor covered parking for <br /> equipment. Oil has leaked on the maintenance shop floor from equipment stored inside. Outside, south <br /> of the maintenance shop there is an oily liquid spill next to two white five gallon buckets. Petroleum <br /> products have been spilled on the floor of the flammables shed and have not yet been cleaned up. <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of <br /> hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> Immediately clean up the spilled oily liquids, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste <br /> regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed <br /> by 8-15-14. <br /> 605. Multiple containers of waste chemical products have been left at the hazardous waste storage <br /> area and lack the required hazardous waste label information. All hazardous waste containers shall be <br /> marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties <br /> 4. physical state <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. Since it cannot be determined how long the multiple containers of waste chemical products <br /> have been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste <br /> under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by 8-15-14. <br /> 609. Several used oil filters were left partially submerged in the used oil tote. Used oil filters shall be <br /> drained of free-flowing oil. Correct immediately by removing the used oil filters, drain out the free-flowing <br /> oil, and place them into the drum for drained used oil filters.
