Persons generating, transporting, or receiving used oil filters shall use a bill of lading to record <br />the transfer of used oil filters. Bills of lading must indicate generator, transporter, and receiving company <br />names, addresses, telephone numbers, the quantity and size of used oil filter containers transferred, and <br />the date of transfer. A copy of each bill of lading must be kept on the premises of the generator, <br />transporter, and receiving facility where the used oil filters were handled. Copies of bills of lading shall <br />be kept for a period of three years. Correct immediately by maintaining disposal records for drained used <br />oil filters for three years. Submit a copy of this documentation from the past three years to this office by <br />10-28-10. Minor -notice to comply. <br />#27 The white 55 gallon drum of used oil was left open. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed <br />at all times except when adding or removing waste. The drum was closed during the inspection. <br />Continue to ensure that all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br />#60 & 63 The manifests for used oil disposal were available for 2010 and 2009. The manifests for used <br />oil disposal were not available for 2008 and 2007. Disposal manifests must be retained for three years. <br />Correct immediately by maintaining these records available for review. Submit a copy of the 2008 and <br />2007 used oil disposal records to this office by 10-28-10. Minor -notice to comply. <br />#64 The disposal records for spent lead acid batteries from 2010, 2009, and 2008 were available for <br />review. The 2007 records for spent lead acid batteries were not available for review. The generator shall <br />retain, at the generator's place of business for at least three years, a legible copy of each manifest or bill <br />of lading which identifies spent lead -acid batteries shipped to a person who stores the batteries or who <br />uses, reuses, recycles or reclaims the batteries or their components. Correct immediately by maintaining <br />these records available for review. Submit a copy of the 2007 spent lead acid battery disposal records to <br />this office by 10-28-10. Minor -notice to comply. <br />#79 The universal waste(UW) lamps were not stored in a closed container. Two blue poly drums of UW <br />lamps were left open. A UW handler shall contain any lamp in a container or package that is structurally <br />sound, adequate to prevent breakage, and compatible with the contents of the lamp. Such a container or <br />package shall remain closed and shall lack evidence of leakage, spillage or damage that could cause <br />leakage under reasonably foreseeable conditions. Correct immediately by properly storing all your UW <br />lamps in compatible closed container.
