Surfaces must be dry before applying bonder. <br /> General Instructions for. BONDING TO POLY SUMPS OR FIBERGLASS SUMPS: Clean,sand and rough up sump surfaces. Clean fitting and <br /> apply_DBB V between Bonding Ring&sump wall. <br /> STEP 1: Loosen Nuts&pull Back Metal Ring STEP 2: Clean all Repair Components STEP 3: Place&Dry Fit Bonding Ring&Sleeve <br /> . Clean all repair components with DBC Note: Make sure Bonding Ring Is placed with the"Seating <br /> • Remove Nuts Groves"positioned toward the sump wall <br /> • Pull back metal mounting flange&discard prior to installation - Place the split bonding ring with Cuff over the pipe with <br /> • Clean off any'paste'or other bonders from <br /> Split Bonding Cleaner Split the sealing grooves toward the sump wall <br /> around the Environ body&sump wall Ring Sleeve - Place the bonding ring over the studs <br /> • Clean&sand sump wall - Place the split sleeve over the pipe&up to the bonding <br /> • Spray Environ Body 9t sanded sump wall ring With the fill port up <br /> with DBC cleaner <br /> • If needed.Patch old boot to seal back wall <br /> Split Insert Multi-Sync <br /> Reducer <br /> % <br /> ... .... .... ... ... <br /> STEPS: Install C <br /> of&Bonding Ring STEP 6: Install The Sleeve <br /> b <br /> Apply DBB Vto the sump side of the Bonding Seal around the existing boot &pipe If needed. <br /> Ypird h M �WM­" <br /> Ring and slide It over the studs&up to the Position the sleeve with the fill port at the top <br /> AltS sump wall Once you have the sleeve lined up correctly, <br /> Thread on the flange nuts. <br /> 1.Apply a bead of Zip-Tite all around the outer <br /> .. .... Note:lighten the flange nuts Isnugir. edges of the bonding ring Cuff <br /> Do not Over-tighten. Snug Is ok. 2.Slide sleeve over bonding ring Cuff&snap In <br /> * Wipe any excess DBB V off the bonding ring place(fill port at top) <br /> - Spray DBC onto cloth&wipe clean the outer 3.Set the clamp,#96,the around the sleeve& <br /> edges of the bonding ring. over the bonding ring and tighten"snugly". <br /> ............ <br /> STEP 4: Bond Sleeve&Bonding Ring <br /> • Apply Zip-Tite to the split bonding ring. <br /> Use I clamp,#96,to hold in place while DBB V goes on <br /> curing. ,"groovedm side <br /> • Apply Zip-TIte to the split sleeve and use 2 Jioward sump <br /> clamps,#96,to hold in place while <br /> curing. <br /> • Leave these clamps in place for approx 30 <br /> Zip-Tite here <br /> minutes for curing before proceeding to <br /> the next step <br /> You <br /> must seal any open spaces between the <br /> Fill port on top <br /> Riles &the old Environ boot <br /> [ <br /> Sleeve In place over'Cuff"with clamp <br /> Bonding Ring In place; <br /> Wipe any excess DBB V from outer edge <br /> Diversified Products Manufacturing Inc.Environ Repair Manual Full Version Rev 3 Page 49 of 70 <br />
