Y
.2 Gallon Per Hour Leak Test Result Messages (Cont.)
There are events that can occur which may adversely affect the result of an individual leak test. Even though the
system was designed to minimize the effects of these events and the events infrequently occur, occasionally an -
invalid leak test result will be obtained.
Some of the events that may cause an inaccurate leak test result include: —
• A large change in the product vaporization during a leak test.
•
Tank deformation caused by a delivery shortly before a leak test begins.
• A delivery occurs shortly before a leak test begins that has an extreme temperature differential
between the delivered product and the product in the tank.
• Severe or sudden changes in the weather caused by fronts, storms, wind, lightning, etc.
• Excessive power line disturbances.
Consequently, the result of a single leak test should not always be accepted as conclusive. If the leak test result is
suspect, the leak test should be repeated again until consistent results are obtained.
To Start And Stop ATG Leak Tests By Remote Communications.
For information on the remote communications cababilities, see Section 12-0, Remote Communications on
page 30.
