VII. CONTINGENCY PLAN <br />A. Underground <br />Should an overfill occur during the delivery of product, the truck <br />operator shall do the following: <br />1. Immediately close the transport faucet valve <br />2. Take emergency steps to contain the spilled fuel <br />3. Contact the designated responsible party and inform <br />him/her of the spill. <br />The designated responsible party will: <br />1. Stop all pumping of fuel until a determination is made <br />that no hazard exists <br />2. Assess the problem and determine who is to be <br />contacted: <br />a. Fire Department <br />b. Police <br />C. Environmental Contractor <br />d. State Department of Health <br />e. Corporate Environmental Manager <br />3. order all work required to contain the spill <br />4. Remove any fuel from any location where it might have <br />accumulated <br />5. Write a report of the event as required by the plan. <br />B. Fueling Islands <br />In case of a spill at any of the islands the customer should turn <br />the dispenser off and notify the cashier in the building. The <br />cashier will: <br />1. Switch the Emergency Pump switch to "off". <br />2. Render any assistance required by the conditions <br />FIZE <br />
