L <br />3. Notify the designated responsible party of the <br />incident. <br />The designated responsible party will: <br />1. Verify that power to the pumps has been disconnected <br />2. Take steps to soak up spilled fuels by the use of <br />sorbent material <br />3. Insure that no fire hazard exists <br />4. If sorbent material is unable to contain the spill and <br />it appears the spill might migrate away from the <br />immediate area, contact the Fire and Police <br />departments <br />5. Contact the maintenance contractor to arrange for <br />removal of contaminated material and contained fuel <br />6. Once the spill has been removed and no hazard exists, <br />allow part or all of the fuel system to resume <br />operation <br />7. Contact the Corporate Environmental Manager <br />8. write a report of the spill event as required by this <br />plan. <br />j <br />2-11 <br />
