3) Ensure the health and safety of all individuals in the vicinity of a release, making <br /> sure not to jeopardize the health or life of individuals providing aid. <br /> 4) Contain any spill release in a localized area so as to prevent migration: ALL <br /> EFFORTS ARE TO BE MADE TO CONTAIN AND ABSORB THE FUEL, <br /> AND NOT TO ALLOW THE SPILL TO ENTER INTO THE DRAINAGE <br /> TROUGH OR DROP INLETS. This is done with drain covers, absorbent pads, <br /> & booms, or other approved materials kept on location. Contact the local Fire <br /> Department if product has entered any drain. Contaminated materials are to be <br /> placed in 55 gallon steel drums and labeled properly. <br /> S) Identify and mitigate fire, explosion, and vapor hazards by turning off all <br /> electrical equipment and moving all vehicles away from the spill area. Vehicles <br /> should be rolled to minimize the chance of sparks igniting fumes. <br /> 6) Call the Flying J Help Desk number, 1-877-485-6640. <br /> 7) Dispose of clean-up materials and waste through a licensed contractor. <br /> 8) Flying J Environmental Support Group will report release to the appropriate <br /> agencies. <br /> The propane tank is equipped with an auto-close valve in case the dispenser unit is <br /> damaged. The dispenser unit,piping and bollards are routinely inspected for <br /> damage. Volume in the tank is checked against sales to assess any loss due to <br /> leakage. The main valve is turned off by hand, should any leakage be detected. A <br /> propane supplier will be called to empty the tank should a leak be detected within the <br /> tank itself, or if the tank becomes damaged in any way. Flames, electrical equipment <br /> and other spark inducing materials are kept away from the propane tank. <br /> Fuels fires, including diesel, gasoline, and propane may be extinguished by facility <br /> personnel, if they feel it is within their training and will not unduly endanger <br /> themselves or the public. The emergency shutoff for the fuel islands is to be <br /> activated, and all people evacuated from the area. Other combustible materials and <br /> vehicles will be moved away from the fire. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IS TO BE <br /> CALLED FOR ALL FIRES. Small fuel fires may be extinguished with afire <br />
