0 0 <br /> Sewage releases should be washed down a sanitary sewer grated inlet if possible with <br /> water. In the event that sewage can not be washed down a sewer inlet, it should be <br /> absorbed with pads or other similar material and disposed of in accordance with local, <br /> state, and federal requirements. Area should be disinfected by some means such as by <br /> using appropriate cleansers. If the release is large enough to warrant, it may be decided to <br /> call upon a contractor who specializes in sewage release clean-up. Care must be taken to <br /> ensure that personnel involved in clean-up are protected from contact with sewage. Also, <br /> eating or drinking while cleaning is prohibited. Every effort should be made to clean <br /> hands, arms,face, clothing, etc., with soap and water after coming into contact or working <br /> with sewage. <br /> Cleanser spills and release should be cleaned-up in accordance with MSDS or <br /> manufacturer guidance. This may involve washing or absorbing cleanser with pads, <br /> etc. in the spilled area. Cleansers should be disposed of in accordance with local, <br /> state, and federal regulations. Contact or inhalation of vapors from cleansers should <br /> be avoided. This may involve wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves, <br /> aprons, eye protection, etc. and having adequate ventilation. <br /> The carbon dioxide containers should be secured so they won't tip or fall over. Keep <br /> containers tightly closed and away from ignitable sources. In an event of a leak <br /> please take the following steps. <br /> • Stop the leak if safe to do so <br /> • If not, evacuate immediate area <br /> • Ventilate the area <br /> • Call for assistance if necessary <br /> 5. EVACUATION <br /> Describe the procedures to be followed for immediate notification and evacuation of <br /> your business: <br /> The facility was constructed with Emergency Lighting and illuminated "EXIT" <br /> signage.
