Emergency Response Action Plan Version :27.10.4 <br /> Individual Discovering the Fire - (No Supervision) <br /> • In the event of fire and the absence of a member of supervision, any Company employee on <br /> duty is designated as the individual in charge. <br /> • The individual discovering the fire will adhere to the instructions issued for the normal <br /> operation. <br /> • Ensure that the fire department has been notified. <br /> • Ensure supervision is notified by telephone (refer to Figure 2.1). <br /> • Shut down the pipeline if running and proceed to close tank valves. <br /> • Prior to the arrival of a member of supervision, the individual will remain in charge and will <br /> direct the fire department to the scene of the fire. <br /> All personnel are reminded that outsiders other than emergency services will not be <br /> allowed in the Facility during the time of an emergency, and that no statements will be <br /> issued to the media or other interested parties except by designated Facility Management. <br /> Be courteous with media representatives and direct them to the designated spokesman. <br /> Available Onsite Fire Equipment List is located in Figure A.1. <br /> Natural Disaster Incidents <br /> Earthquake <br /> If inside, stay inside. Stay clear of outside walls, windows and tall objects that can fall down. If <br /> outside, stay outside. Stay in open areas, keep away from power lines, poles, trees, or tall structures <br /> that may become loose and fall. Complete a damage assessment prior to starting up operations. <br /> After the Earthquake has stopped prepare for aftershocks. As a guide The Richter scale classifies <br /> earthquakes from .0 to 5.2 as minor to light earthquakes and earthquakes from 5.3 to 7.0 as <br /> moderate to strong earthquakes. Refer to the site specific Earthquake plan for more information. <br /> Emergency Response Actions <br /> Minor/Major Earthquakes <br /> • Activate the emergency shutdown device (ESD) if needed. <br /> • Stop pipeline and or tank to tank movements. <br /> • Account for all personnel within the facility, apply first aid as appropriate. <br /> • Activate internal notifications, 911 as needed. <br /> • Survey for damages to building, loading rack, tanks shell, ensure floating roofs are free of <br /> product, LP gas lines, furnace and facility piping are free of leaks. <br /> • Notify management. <br /> Refer to your plan for additional response guidance regarding fires, spills, etc. <br /> Severe Storm <br /> Although many disasters cannot be prevented or predicted, preparation can significantly reduce <br /> losses.
