The following were observed in E 103 the universal waste storage room there was: -One 55 gallon container with universal waste lamps observed with no universal waste label. -One 30 gallon container with universal waste lamps observed with no universal waste label. -7 boxes with universal waste lamps observed with no universal waste labels. Universal waste may be accumulated for no longer than one year from the date the universal waste was generated. The universal waste handler shall be able to demonstrate the length of time that the universal waste has been accumulated. Since it could not be demonstrated how long this waste was stored on site, immediately dispose of this waste and submit a copy of the disposal receipt to the EHD. This is a repeat violation, Class ll. 715 CCR 66273.39 UWH failed to keep complete records of each shipment of universal waste for three years. Copies of universal waste disposal records for Universal waste lamps and alkaline batteries for June 27th 2016 to June 27th 2019 were not found on site. Universal waste disposal records shall be retained for three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately locate a copy of all universal waste disposal receipts for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. This is a repeat violation, Class II. Overall Inspection Comments: An inspection report was provided to the facility operator on June 27th 2019. The report was amended by the EHD. The amended report replaces the initial report. Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting paperwork, within 30 days of receiving the amended inspection report. Your new return to compliance date is July 28th 2019.
