Peters, Jr. —Sr. Director- Environmental, Health & Safety 4.15 Hazardous Waste Accumulation and Storage Time Limits 4.15.1 The maximum allowable amount of Hazardous Waste that may be accumulated and stored at Locations and the time limit for such storage are listed in Table 2 below. Table 2 Generator Maximum Time Monthly Accumulation Limit Maximum Amount Permitted Status Waste May be On-Site at Any Time Accumulated VSQG 365 days < 100 kg (220 lbs) < 1,000 kg (2,200 lbs) < 1 kg Acutely Hazardous Waste < 1 kg Acutely Hazardous Waste < 100 kg (220 lbs)spill residue From Acutely Hazardous Waste SQG 180 days < 1,000 k 2,200 lbs <6,000 k 13,200 lbs LQG 90 days No limit No limit 4.15.2 Locations shall not exceed the accumulation or time limits referenced in Table 1 and Table 2 referenced above. 4.15.3 Satellite Accumulation Areas shall not contain more than 55 gallons in aggregate of Hazardous Waste or one (1) quart of Acutely Hazardous Waste per Satellite Accumulation Area. 4.15.4 Satellite Accumulation Area containers shall be moved to the Central Accumulation Area or removed and disposed of by the approved Hazardous Waste Transporter within three (3) days from the time the Satellite Accumulation Container(s) becomes full. 4.16 Hazardous Waste Pick-ups 4.16.1 Hazardous Waste shall be picked up, transported, and disposed of by the Approved Hazardous Waste Transporter. 4.16.2 Hazardous Waste pick-ups shall be scheduled either on an as-needed basis, or on a pre-determined schedule. Hazardous Waste pick-ups shall not be cancelled such than any amount of Hazardous Waste remains on site longer than prescribed in Table 2 (Section 4.15..2 of this Standard), based on the generator status of the location. Additional pick-ups are permitted as needed. 4.16.3 The Approved Hazardous Waste Transporter shall complete the Hazardous Waste Shipping Documents to include any Hazardous Waste being removed from the Location or site. 4.16.3.1 Only DEAs shall review the Hazardous Waste Shipping Documents for accuracy and shall certify by signature that the information on the Hazardous Waste Shipping Documents is correct.
