Medical Director: <br />The Medical Director will provide general supervision and consulta- <br />tion for all aspects of the Infection Control program. <br />C. Director of Nursing Services: <br />The DNS and the Infection Control Nurse assure that procedures for <br />reporting and analyzing infections are implemented and isolation <br />practices are working effectively. <br />The DNS is responsible for notification to the Health Department of <br />any reportable disease. The DNS assists the Medical Director in <br />overseeing the employee health program and assembles reports concern- <br />ing employees and records these for the Infection Control Committee. <br />D. Charge Nurse: <br />The Charge Nurses assure that all nursing staff under their super- <br />vision will report any condition that appears infectious (staff or <br />pa tients). The nurses will assure that all nursing staff follow <br />procedures for safe patient environment according to the procedure <br />manual. The nurse will institute isolation precautions as necessary. <br />Page # El <br />
