5. RC Medical Staff will request all needles and syringes from the RC <br />Medication MTA. <br />6° All unused needles aqd syringes will be returned to the RC Medication <br />MTA. <br />B. Disposal of used needles and syringes. <br />1. All used needles and syringes will be discarded in Sharps containers <br />labeled "Medical Waste—Biohazard". <br />2. All Sharps containers will be stored in locked boxes, secured with a <br />padlock which can be opened with a "B" key. <br />I All full Sharps containers will be taken to the laboratory for proper <br />disposal. <br />4. It is the responsibilityof the laboratory to dispose of all full Sharps <br />containers in accordance with existing policies and procedures. <br />Equipment: Appropriate key, group for assigned post, RC Needle and Syringe Count <br />Sheets and Biohazard labeled Sharps containers. <br />Reviewedand Approved by: <br />Gilbert R.
