Merchandise Fulfilment <br /> 6.1 Ordering <br /> Policy. Merchandise (i.e. caskets, cremation containers and urns) must be ordered from sources <br /> approved by the Supply Chain Services Department, and inventoried accordingly. <br /> Procedure. <br /> 1. Obtain and document the merchandise selections to be ordered. <br /> 2. Order the merchandise from the approved or selected vendor. <br /> 3. Maintain all merchandise order slips. <br /> 4. Log all ordered merchandise on the Merchandise Order Lod. <br /> 6.2 Receiving and Storage <br /> Policy. Caskets, cremation containers and urns must be handled and stored in a manner that will <br /> prevent damage to said items, and an appropriate amount of space must be allocated for storage <br /> of each. <br /> Procedure. <br /> 1. Receive ordered merchandise. <br /> 2. Maintain all merchandise packing slips and the Merchandise Order Log at the ordering <br /> location. <br /> 3. Move the merchandise into the specified storage area. <br /> 4. If incorrect items have been received, notify a supervisor or manager for resolution. <br /> 6.3 Third Party Caskets <br /> Policy.
