Communicates to the dispatching location that the transfer is complete prior to <br /> returning to the location. <br /> Transfers to or from a location: <br /> 1. During a transfer to or from a location (i.e.funeral home, airport),the transfer personnel: <br /> a. Removes the decedent from the current location. <br /> b. Secures the decedent in the transfer vehicle. <br /> c. Transfers the decedent to the next location. <br /> d. Communicates to the dispatching location that the decedent has been successfully <br /> transferred to the receiving location. <br /> Transfer and release to a non-Company location: <br /> 1. If the Authorized Representative requests for the decedent to be transferred and released <br /> to a non-Company location: <br /> a. Obtain and document authorization from the Authorized Representative on the <br /> Release Authorization Form (FIN-CS027). <br /> b. Forward the Release Authorization Form (FIN-CS027) to the releasing location. <br /> Complete the decedent's lost case information in Carepoint, if applicable. <br /> 2. Upon transfer and release of the decedent, the releasing Company representative and the <br /> representative of the receiving non-Company location completes and signs the Chain of <br /> Custody and Identification Confirmation Form(FIN-CS004). <br /> Ship-in and Ship-out transfers: <br /> 1. During a transfer from the airport for a ship-in,the transfer personnel: <br /> a. Compares and verifies the decedent information on the shipping container label to the <br /> accompanying paperwork. <br /> b. Transfers the decedent from the airport to the appropriate location (i.e. funeral home, <br /> PCC). <br /> c.
