Field Operations Policy and Procedures (fe <br /> Procedure. <br /> 1. Equip refrigeration units with a visual or audible warning device to alert location <br /> personnel when the temperature rises above the desired set point. <br /> 2. Equip refrigeration units with a lock and keep it locked at all times except when <br /> decedents are being moved in or out or when the unit is being cleaned. <br /> 3. Equip each refrigeration unit with lighting adequate to read identification tags and to <br /> work safely. <br /> 4. Equip each refrigeration unit with the pertinent and required signage. (See Required <br /> Sinage). <br /> 5. Ensure refrigeration unit floors are made of a non-porous material to prevent staining and <br /> absorption of spills. In the absence of a non-porous material, seal or treat refrigeration <br /> unit floors in order to render them non-porous and impervious to spills. <br /> 6. Post the Refrigeration Cleaning Log(FIN-CS100) on each refrigeration unit door. <br /> 7. Clean/inspect each refrigeration unit at least once per week (if used), and document that <br /> activity on the Refrigeration Cleaning (FIN-CS 100). (See Spill Control and Clean- <br /> Up Requirements for more information). <br /> 8. Once each log page is completed, retain it at the location according to the Company's <br /> Records Retention Policy. <br /> 10.4 Refrigeration Unit Temperature Settings <br /> Policy. The internal temperature of each refrigeration unit must be between 36 and 42 degrees <br /> Fahrenheit (2.22 and 5.55 degrees Celsius) with a visual or audible alarm set to sound if the <br /> temperature reaches 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7.22 degrees Celsius), and each refrigeration unit <br /> must be monitored to verify the temperature remains constant. <br /> Procedure. <br /> Set and monitor the internal temperature of each refrigeration unit. <br /> 1. Set the temperature between 36 and 42 degrees Fahrenheit (2.22 and 5.55 degrees <br /> Celsius). Reference state and local laws for specific requirements. <br /> 2. Set the temperature alarm to sound if the temperature reaches 45 degrees Fahrenheit(7.22 <br /> degrees Celsius). <br /> 3.
