Beneficial uses of Corral Rollow Creek are agricultural supply, ground water <br />recharge, and esthetic enjoyment and the beneficial uses of <br />ground water are <br />domestic and industrial supply. <br />11. Issuance of this Order is exempt from the provisions of the California Environ- <br />mental Quality Act in accordance with Section 2714(x)(2)9 Subchapter 17, Chapter 3, <br />Title 23, California Administrative e. <br />12. The Board has notified the discharger and interested agencies and persons of -its <br />Intent to prescribe waste discharge requirements for this discharge. <br />13. The Board in a public meeting heard d considered all comments pertaining to the <br />discharge. <br />IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, the University of California, Lawrence Livermore:National Labora- <br />tory Site 300 and the property owner, order to meet the provisions of Division 7 <br />of the California Water Code and regulations adopted thereunder, shall comply with the <br />following: <br />A. Prohibitions: <br />1. The discharge or deposit of Group 1 waste other than beryllium, depleted uran- <br />ium, natural uranium, thorium, and tritium at this site is prohibited. <br />2. Discharge of leachate or liquid waste to surface waters, surface water drain- <br />age courses, or usable ground water is prohibited. <br />3. Radioactivity in surface and ground water shall not exceed maximum levels as <br />presented in Article -5, Chapter 15, Title 22, California Administrative Code. <br />4. Discharge other than within boundaries of existing active disposal areas <br />shown in Attachment "A" is prohibited. <br />B. Discharge Specifications: <br />1. The treatment or disposal of waste shall not cause pollution, or a nuisance <br />as defined. in the California Water Code, Section 13050. <br />2. The discharge shall not cause a degradation of any water supply. <br />3. All disposal areas shall be protected from any washout or erosion of wastes <br />or covering material, and from inundation, which could occur as a result of <br />floods having a predicted frequency of once in 200 years. <br />4. Surface drainage from tributary areas, and internal site drainage from sur- <br />face or subsurface sources, shall not contact or percolate through Wastes <br />discharged at the sites. <br />Amendnd Citta/gs 12/5/80 <br />
