(B developed an -asbestos removal encap- <br />sulant "BWE 5000. This product was "submitted to Battelle for evaluation. The' <br />evaluation was conducted as outlined below. <br />The following discusses the procedure used to evaluate the removal encapsulant <br />identified as BWE 5000. The removal encapsulant was spray applied to a mineral <br />wool substrate. After curing 7 days, the coated and uncoated mineral wool <br />substrates were evaluated using a Gardner impact tester. The dust from under- <br />neath the impact area was collected and photomicrographs were made of the dust. <br />In addition, both amosite and chrysotile asbestos fibers were placed on micro <br />scopic slides and then wet with a drop of the.remdval encapsulant. <br />a <br />The results of the above analysis•are given below. <br />T <br />
