tractor's agents, servants and employees; and in the amount of FIFTY THOUSAND <br /> DOLLARS ($50,000.00) for property damage coverage. <br /> The Contractor shall, before the commencement of performance pursuant <br /> to this agreement, take out, and during the life of this agreement maintain in <br /> full force and effect, compensation insurance with an insurance carrier or <br /> carriers under an insurance policy or policies, satisfactory to the City in form <br /> and amount covering its full liability under the Workmen's Compensation Insurance <br /> and Safety Act of the State of California and any act or acts amendatory thereof <br /> or supplementary thereto, for compensation of any employee who may be injured <br /> during the course of the work therein provided for and to the dependents of any <br /> employees who may be killed during the course of said work. <br /> Such policy or policies shall expressly provide therein that they shall <br /> not be revoked by the insurer until thirty (30) days' written notice of the <br /> intended revocation thereof shall have first been given to the City by such <br /> insurer. <br /> The Contractor shall file with the City, prior to the establishment, <br /> operation and maintenance of the garbage and refuse disposal facility herein <br /> provided for, certificates of all insurance fully executed in the manner above <br /> mentioned, with insurance companies acceptable to the City. <br /> The Contractor's liability policy and the certificate of insurance <br /> which is to be furnished the City shall contain a contractual liability endorse- <br /> ment stating that the policy is extended to cover the liability assumed by the <br /> Contractor under the terms of this contract. <br /> In case of the breach of any provision of this Article, City, at its <br /> option, may take out and maintain at the expense of the Contractor, such insurance <br /> X <br /> as the City may deem proper and may deduct the cost of taking out and maintaining <br /> such insurance from any sums which may be due, or become due, to the Contractor <br /> pursuant to this agreement. <br /> T.
