,.' Arcady Oil -2- 13 February 2986
Constituent Found
Above Detection Limit Concentrations mg/l
Well #7 Well #9 Drinking
Water
Standards
Ni 0.27 0.34 --
Pb <0.05 0.23 0.05 (I°)
V <0.05 0.33 --
Zn 0.11 0.46 5 (Ii°)
Note: These samples were not preserved with nitric acids.
Arcady has submitted an interim report on the status of the investigation which
shows that there are hazardous levels of lead and designated levels of other
metals in the deposited materials. There is preliminary evidence, from well
sampling, that the ground water flowing beneath the site contains low levels of
these constituents. The investigation is still in the preliminary phase.
INSPECTION SUMMARY
Arcady remains in violation of Board Order No. 76-152 due to the 'hazardous' and
'designated wastes' which reside in the facility.
DANIEL T. WARD, Area Engineer
DTW:Jec
cc: Mr. Alex J. Diepenbrock, Arcady Oil Company, South Pasadena
