Ed Padilla
Report of Disposal Site Information (RDSI)
Please update the site classification.
The RDSI should state the maximum daily load capacity of the
facility, and the average daily throughput expected in tons
per operating day. This amount should not exceed what is
addressed in CEQA.
The RDSI should include a description of the sanitary
facilities for employees, including potable water supply and
washing facilities.
The waste quantities collected in the special collection
should be specified in tons per operating day. Note that
this amount should not exceed the amount identified in the
CEQA document.
The Hours of Site Operation section should include the
annual spring clean-up hours, and be considered with the
permit.
The load checking program should include the maximum storage
time prior to removal and the isolation/storage location and
a generator ID#.
If climatic conditions such as wet weather are likely to
adversely affect site operations (i.e. access or surface
soils handling) , measures to overcome these conditions are
to be outlined. If none exist, please include a statement
to that effect.
The RDSI states that sludge, manure, and infectious waste
will be received at the site. The permit does not. Note
that disposal of infectious waste at any landfill is
prohibited.
If special waste is received (i.e. sludge, dead animals
etc. ) the handling procedures for each should be included.
The expected days of receipt, typical peak loadings, the
extent of fluctuations during the year, and the disposal
location for each should also be stated.
Please specify the actual acreage used for landfilling and
acres remaining to be filled.
The RDSI should include the actual calculations to show how
the life expectancy projection was derived.
