t t t <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STOCKTO <br />CERTIFYING TIIE FINAL ENVIRONM[ENTAL IMPACT REPORT (EER2-90) FOR <br />AUSTIN ROAD LANDFILL EXPANSION PROJECT <br />Whereas, the City of Stockton prepared a Final Environmental Impact Report <br />(EIR2-90) for the Austin Road Landfill Expansion Project according to the California <br />Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code Sections 21000 et. seer.., hereafter "CEQA"), <br />the Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act (14 California <br />Code of Regulations, Sections 15000 et.sem_ , hereafter the "State CEQA Guidelines") and the <br />City of Stockton Guidelines for Implementing CEQA ("Local Guidelines") ; and <br />Whereas, the City published the Notice of Availability of the Draft EIR on <br />December 15, 1993, distributed copies of the Draft EIR to agencies having jurisdiction over the <br />project and to other interested agencies and persons, and conducted the CEQA-required 45 -day <br />public review period from December 15, 1993 to January 28, 1994; and <br />Whereas, a legally noticed public Environmental Review meeting was held on <br />March 3, 1994, by the City of Stockton Community Development Department (CDD) to accept <br />any oral comment regarding the Draft EIR, however, no oral comments were made during the, <br />meeting; and <br />Whereas, the Final EIR dated June 1994, consists of the Draft EIR (incorporated <br />by reference), comments received on the Draft EIR and the City's responses to the comments, <br />a revised summary of impacts and mitigation measures, Draft EIR legal notices and transmittal <br />documents, a section documenting Draft EIR text and figure changes, and Final EIR errata; and <br />Whereas, pursuant to Public Resources Code, Section 21092.5, the CDD sent a <br />Notice of Availability of the Final EIR and Notice of Public Meeting dated August 11, 1994, to <br />VM ji CriJ� <br />DA'i'F_._ SEP 06 ,1994 <br />
