the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) Landfill <br /> Operators Training Course and obtained a Landfill Operators <br /> Certificate from SWANA. <br /> 13.4 Hazardous materials <br /> The Operator shall provide appropriate training to it's personnel <br /> to implement the County's Hazardous Waste Exclusion Program called <br /> out in Section 8, Hazardous Waste. <br /> 13.5 Safety Equipment <br /> The Operator shall ensure that its employees working at the <br /> Landfill use personal protective devices and safeguards to ensure <br /> safety of workers, which include applicable items required under <br /> CCR Title 8, Article 10 and as required by the CDPW. <br /> This shall include but not be limited to the following: <br /> ♦ hard hats (Section 3381) , <br /> ♦ safety glasses (Section 3382) , <br /> ♦ gloves (Section 3384) , <br /> ♦ safety boots (Section 3385) , and <br /> ♦ safety vests. <br /> 13.6 Direction of Traffic <br /> Safe direction of traffic for Landfill operations or other site <br /> usage shall be the responsibility of the Operator. Appropriate <br /> security measures shall be taken at the attendant house to deny <br /> access to unauthorized parties. In addition, the working face <br /> shall be provided with appropriate signs and a traffic director to <br /> provide for safe conduct of site users and operational traffic. <br /> Site Operators shall ensure that its personnel use appropriate care <br /> and speed control with equipment to avoid damage to equipment or <br /> injury to site operating personnel or site users. <br /> 34 <br />
